The short-short version
Kristofer Dommin has declared his rock ‘n’ roll invasion!
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California and now residing in Brisbane, Australia, the baritone crooner performs a unique brand of original rock ‘n’ roll. Rootsy in arrangement with a swinging rockabilly energy, the music bridges the gap between blues and country, with the words of a dark romantic poet and the attitude of an outlaw.
Kristofer recruited Brisbane-based trio, The Oztones, to back his foray into Americana genre. The band features upright bassist Dale Berends, lead guitarist Danny Lowrie and drummer Jot Garrott, all young yet seasoned players active in the Brisbane live scene.
Kristofer Dommin, gained international attention in 2010 fronting his hard rock project based in the U.S., which saw the artist touring North America and Europe extensively and performing at major rock festivals like Download in the UK, Rock Am Ring/Rock Im Park in Germany and Soundwave in Australia.
Kristofer Dommin & The Oztones, however, are fresh on the Australian music scene but already making waves. They were the featured act at Lefty’s Music Hall in Brisbane on New Year’s Eve and recently headlined the Beer & BBQ Roadshow in Warwick, QLD in February. You can also catch them regularly performing around South East Queensland including at the Greazefest Festival in July 2021.
Kristofer Dommin recorded his debut album in collaboration with The Oztones with the first single “Ain’t Right” released in November 27, 2020. The group has been releasing one song, one video and one livestream per month. This will culminate in a full album release scheduled for November of 2021.
In addition, to this rock ‘n’ roll project, Kristofer continues to release solo material with the same moving, dark and dreamy style he’s been known for with songs like Dreamkiller, The One and Ready, Set Go, all released in 2020.
